The holiday season is for finger foods and snacking, and the best snacking comes in the form of HIPPEAS Crusted Tofu Tenders! To make these, pick your favorite flavor of HIPPEAS (I went with the classic choice of Vegan White Cheddar), grab a block of tofu, and bake some tenders!

Ingredients• 1 cup HIPPEAS Organic Chickpea Puffs (use your favorite flavor)
• ¼ tsp salt
• 4-6 tbsp cornstarch
• ¼ cup plant milk
• 1 block extra firm tofu
Directions1. Preheat the oven to 425 ºF and lightly spray a baking tray.
2. Pulse the HIPPEAS into crumbs using your food processor or in a sealed bag with a rolling pin (push out the air first). Place the crumbs in a shallow bowl and mix in the salt.
3. In a second bowl add the cornstarch, and in a third bowl add the plant milk.
4. Cut the tofu into 6 slabs, then cut each slice in half on the diagonal to make 12 triangles. Dip each piece of tofu first into the starch, then the plant milk, and finally into the HIPPEAS crumbs. Use one hand or fork for wet and one for dry to keep things less messy.
5. Place breaded tofu on a baking tray and spray the top with oil. Bake for 35-45 minutes, flipping after the first 25 minutes.
Serve the tofu tenders with your favorite dipping sauces. Some tasty choices include: BBQ sauce, creamy garlic dressing, vegan honey mustard dressing, vegan ranch dressing, or ketchup.
